The House of Commons Procedure Committee has published a report recommending the introduction of an e-petition system.

”Experience elsewhere, notably on the No 10 Downing St website, has demonstrated high levels of public interest and engagement. Historically and constitutionally the House of Commons is the place to which petitions should properly be presented.  It is time for the House to reclaim that role in the internet age.”
